BitTorrent plaintiff Countryman Nevada, LLC filed new cases in the Middle District of Florida against anonymous “John Doe” defendants on March 26, 2014.
Countryman Nevada lawsuits in the Middle District
The five cases are:
Countryman Nevada, LLC v. Doe 25, Case No. 6:14-cv-00492 (Orlando Division)
Countryman Nevada, LLC v. Doe 36, Case No. 6:14-cv-00491 (Orlando Division)
Countryman Nevada, LLC v. Doe 35, Case No. 6:14-cv-00493 (Orlando Division)
Countryman Nevada, LLC v. Doe 38, Case No. 6:14-cv-00494 (Orlando Division)
On May 31, 2014, the case against Doe 38 was closed and transferred to the Tampa Division in:
Countryman Nevada, LLC v. Doe 38, Case No. 8:14-cv-00761 (Tampa Division)
This new string of lawsuits is for the alleged unauthorized downloading of a film called Charlie Countryman, a/k/a The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman. Although the Plaintiff is relatively new, the general lawsuits are not.
