Bicycle Peddler, LLC recently filed five lawsuits in the Middle District of Florida for alleged downloading of the film Trade of Innocents. Subpoenas have been issued to ISPs and “John Does” have begun receiving letters alerting them about the subpoenas.
Trade of Innocents is a film starring Mira Sorvino, Dermot Mulroney which is about the underground illegal sex-slave trade of young girls.
If you’re thinking of downloading this film (or any other), do not, as it is not worth being sued and having to deal with a lawsuit.
On the other hand, if you have received a letter, a subpoena, a summons, or anything else to that effect that pertains to this or a similar case – do not ignore it. Feel free to give us a call at 407-965-5519 and we’ll try to help you figure out your best strategy of dealing with this. As I’ve explained before, ignoring a lawsuit can result in a judgment against you. You may have strong defenses available, but you have to raise them properly.
