Thanks to a Twitter tip-off from @DieTrollDie, we have learned of 38 new Good Man Productions lawsuits. All 38 lawsuits were filed by Plaintiff “Good Man Productions, Inc.” for the alleged downloading of movies via the BitTorrent protocol, and all appear to have been filed by and through the same attorney who has also been representing Malibu Media, LLC in hundreds of similar lawsuits in the federal courts in Florida since 2012. These new Good Man Productions lawsuits were filed on November 28 and December 1 and 2, 2014.
A sample complaint (copy at bottom) from one of the lawsuits reveals the chosen “expert” to be Excipio GmbH (in Karlsruhe, Germany), which detected IP addresses corresponding to the accounts who undoubtedly will soon begin receiving letters about these lawsuits from their Internet Service Providers. The suits all seem to be related to the Steven Seagal action film, A Good Man.
What to do if you receive a letter from your ISP
If you receive a letter from your ISP — or a summons (which would be after the ISP letter stage) do not call the Plaintiff’s attorney (anything you say can be used against you), and do not ignore it. If you’d like to discuss your options in confidence, you can give us a ring at 407-965-5519. Since 2012, our office has represented many dozens of John Doe Defendants in the federal courts in Florida. As with most of the BitTorrent lawsuits, your options will depend on the unique factors of your situation.

Finally, below is a copy of the complaint from one of the above-listed lawsuits. Although we have not examined the other complaints, based on experience from other Plaintiffs, a reasonable educated assumption is that the others are nearly identical.
