Last month copyright troll Nu Image, Inc. filed a lawsuit in the Middle District of Florida, Fort Myers Division, for the alleged illegal downloading by 198 Internet accountholders of the Hollywood film The Expendables.  Nu Image, Inc. v. Does 1-198, 2:12-cv-00359-JES-DNF.

The lawsuit is filed by the firm Dunlap, Grubb, & Weaver, in Naples, Florida, who has also filed other lawsuits on behalf of Nu Image, Inc. and Celestial, Inc. in the Middle District of Florida.  Based on what has happened in the other cases, Nu Image will likely file a motion to serve a subpoena on the ISPs of the 198 accountholders in an attempt to obtain their names, addresses, and telephone numbers.  The case is in front of Judge John E. Steele and Magistrate Douglas N. Frazier.

If you receive a letter from your ISP about this case and are intereted in filing a motion to quash or motion to vacate the supoena, feel free to call Attorney Conlin at 407-965-5519.
