MDFL BitTorrent Lawsuit update: 231 lawsuits filed by Tamaroff & Tamaroff

As you may have already heard, Tamaroff & Tamaroff, attorneys who used to represent BitTorrent defendants in the federal courts in Florida, switched sides earlier this year.  They put the brakes on representing Defendants and began representing various Plaintiffs: Good Man Productions, Poplar Oaks Inc., Manny Film LLC, and Plastic the Movie Limited.  I hadn’t checked PACER in a little while on this, so I was a little surprised today to see that they have already filed 231 lawsuits.  The Tamaroff brothers have certainly been busy.

With a $400 filing fee for each case, these 231 suits have brought $92,400 to the Clerk of United States District Court, Middle District of Florida.  That would be one hell of an AmEx bill.  (And, yes, you can anticipate the Plaintiffs will expect to recoup their investment.)
